Bach’s Oboe d’amore, Beethoven’s Fourth
April 23, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Brahms: Hungarian Dances
Bach: Concerto for Oboe d’amore (Robert Sheena)
Beethoven: Symphony No. 4
The orchestra concludes its first complete season of concerts with another “signature” program. Boston Symphony Orchestra principal oboist Robert Sheena joins the ensemble for a performance of Bach’s exquisite, rarely heard Concerto for Oboe d’amore. The concert also features Brahms’ lusty Hungarian Dances and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 4, which takes the season out with a stirring flourish.
